Moran family farm
Green Hills, the award winning Moran family farm is perched atop of the Great Dividing Range located in the Central Tablelands, renowned as one of Australia’s best lamb- growing areas. We focus on producing premium quality lamb using sustainable and environmentally conscious methods.
The pristine countryside—a combination of pasture and native grasses—and reliable water supply from crystal clear, permanently running, spring fed creeks and dams, combined with years of farming experience result in our lambs regularly topping the market and equal to the best. Our farm was first settled approximately 140 years ago, and we will ensure it can be passed on in the best sustainable condition.
We have received two environmental government grants to help us plant over 14,000 trees and a NSW state wide occupation and safety award for the design of our shearing shed. We have ample shelter belts of native trees and regrowth and have erected over two kilometers of fencing to specifically create a wildlife corridor which runs right through the property.
